The Special Projects Management Section started its activity in Moham Shargh Company in 1386 to implement projects which require execution only (section C of the EPC), and it was extended to perform special projects which require task-specific decision making such as management of executive contracts regarding the Lali 132 kV substation, the Sahand 230 kV substation, the Bistoon 230 kV substation development project and the SVC projects of Khuzestan Steel Company.

Currently, this section of the Installation and Operation Unit is the only group capable of designing, providing equipment supply and installing SVC (Static Var Compensator) systems in the country. The group has already finished design and implementation of four 156MWunits in Iran, and it is able and ready to implement more complicated projects such as power rectifiers and various compensating systems
