- Consultation services in line with reconstruction of the electricity industry, commission of the electricity market, power exchange and cooperation in the operation of the electricity market
- Cooperation in order to obtain the overall electricity market decisions (energy rate determination and capacity market commission)
- Consultation services in the field of regulation preparation related to the electricity market such as calculating the cost of electricity transmission services and relevant billing
- Consultation services formatters related to the electricity market for regional electricity companies
- Consultation services to power plants in order to explain and provide the right solution regarding energy sales in the electricity market or other selling methods such as guaranteed purchase and long-term contracts based on regulations of the Ministry of Energy
- Consultation services in privatization of the power industry and transformation of the Ministry of Energy’s firms
- Various services in different national projects such as collecting technical information related to comprehensive studies of dynamic network plan, plan of energy exchange in the Ministry of Energy, Tavanir and Iran Power Network Management Company
Currently, necessary proceedings have been done to obtain a permit from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology to identify this unit as an East Electrical Energy and Economy Research Center which includes two research groups: Reconstruction of the Electrical Economy and Economical Regulations of the Electricity Market.
