Civil GroupThe specialized construction group (CIVIL) is made of building specialists, architectural experts and mapping and drawing technicians. This group designs control buildings, including the structural and foundation calculations and the architectural design, as well as determining the best location for the building. They also design medium voltage switchgear buildings, and they design the foundations for high voltage equipment. All of this is done with the help of the most up-to-date engineering software. Other duties of this group include preparation of technical documents for available roads to a substation, development of canal routes and their associated calculations, preparation of general plans, and preparation and calculation of the fences and other civil matters related to substations. The structural design of special substations such as mobile substations, modular substations and substations which should be built in contaminated areas is done in this specialized department. This group uses the latest versions of software such as SAP; ETABS, for structural calculations; SAFE, for foundation calculations; ANSYS for moving structure simulations and calculations; computational CARRIER software; ISOLUX for mechanical and lighting design of a building; AUTOCAD for engineering drawings; and other related engineering software. | |
